The historic Hail Mary pass did not come up in the conversation, but Pope Francis clearly had fun when he received a helmet and jersey from members of the American Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Packers great Jim Taylor was among the former players who met the Pontiff on Wednesday at the Vatican. He was joined by Chris Doleman, Franco Harris, Floyd Little, Ronnie Lott and Curtis Martin.
The group gave the Pope a signed helmet and a white jersey bearing the number one and the name Papa Francesco.
Pope Francis says he's an avid football fan, but for him, it's soccer.
