WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — Health officials said total positive cases of COVID-19 surpassed 150,000 in Wisconsin. They said 28,988 of these cases are still considered active across the state.
The state Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 2,676 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday. This is a decrease of 66 from Saturday's daily numbers and a downward trend since Thursday's record-breaking high of 3,338 new coronavirus cases.
The DHS said 79.7% of people with the virus have been marked recovered.
Seven deaths related to the virus was recorded in Wisconsin, for a total of 1,465 people who have died in relation to the virus.
Hospitalizations increased by 79, bringing the state total to 8,398.
