Wisconsin DHS: Active COVID-19 cases continues decreasing

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — Health officials reported 1,119 out of 6,331 COVID-19 tests returned positive Sunday afternoon.

The state Department of Health Services (DHS) said there's an estimated 22,882 cases still active. This is a decrease of 532 active cases since Saturday and over 3,000 active cases since last Sunday.

Over 504,000 people in Wisconsin who originally tested positive for the virus have since recovered.

Another six deaths related to the virus were recorded for a total of 5,691 people in the state to have died since the start of the pandemic.

Hospitalizations increased by 67, bringing the state total to 23,692 people to ever be hospitalized with the virus.
