WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — Health officials reported 1,606 out of 6,674 COVID-19 tests returned positive Saturday.
According to the state Department of Health Services (DHS), the seven-day average for positive cases by person is 24.9% as of Saturday's numbers, a decrease of only 0.1%. This percentage only includes each person once across the duration of the pandemic, no matter how many times an individual gets tested.
An estimated 26,139 cases are still active across Wisconsin, which is 684 less than Saturday. A total of 490,043 people in the state have since been marked as recovered.
Another death was recorded Sunday, for a total of 5,451 people in Wisconsin to have died in relation to the virus.
Hospitalizations increased by 50, bringing the state total to 23,076 people to ever be hospitalized with the virus.
