Another very cool and fall-like day here in late September. That cut-off area of low pressure will continue to keep skies mostly cloudy today with chance for on and off showers. Winds will be remaining gusty as well today out of the northeast. Highs this afternoon will top out in the lower 60s. Clouds will start to break up later this afternoon as this cut-off low pressure finally pulls away from the area. Skies will continue to clear into tonight. Winds will stay at least breezy with lows tonight around 50° or so.
Brighter and warmer tomorrow with temperatures rebounding into the 70s. We won't be done with this cut-off low pressure though. It will build back towards the area Friday into the weekend bringing more clouds and showers to the area, along with cooler temperatures. We should finally see the system pull away on Sunday. Any showers should end and clouds will break up.Read full story
