OSHKOSH (NBC 26) -- The Paine Art Center and Gardens have been closed for the past two and a half months during one of the most beautiful times of the year when many of the flowers are just blooming. They will be re-opening their doors with several safety precautions in place, just in time to smell the flowers!

The Paine Art Center and Gardens will re-open on Tuesday, May 26th starting at 10 a.m. by reservation. They request visitors to wear a face mask or face covering while inside the historic mansion, but guests may enjoy the gardens mask free while practicing social distancing.

All staff will wear face masks and frequently touched surfaces will be routinely disinfected. Through reservations, the Paine will keep group sizes to nine people or less and entrance times will be spaced out, while the building capacity will also be limited.

For the first time ever, gnomes have taken over the gardens and the mansion. Families can enjoy a scavenger hunt to find all of the gnomes. There are roughly 100 gnomes hidden throughout the mansion and the gardens.

Visitors can also enjoy the stunning exhibition Alphonse Mucha: Master of Art Nouveau. This exhibition was originally scheduled to end in May, but has been extended into August. It features more than 75 vintage lithographs, original drawings, books, and advertising ephemera that represent the broad range of Mucha’s work.

Admission will be 50% off regular rates through June 28, courtesy of Amcor. Adults are $4.50 and youth (ages 5 - 17) are $2.50. Admission is free for children (ages 4 and under) and Paine Members.

Reservation times are available Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM and 10 AM to 7 PM on Wednesday and Sunday. To make a reservation, visit the Paine Art Center & Gardens website. Click HERE to make a reservation.
