MADISON (WGBA) -- St. Mary's Springs shut out Eau Claire Regis 7-0 Thursday to claim the school's record ninth state football championship.

Senior running back Marcus Orlandoni led the Ledgers with 75 yards and the game's only touchdown, which came on the first drive of the game. The Springs defense dominated Regis, holding the Ramblers to less than three yards per play.

The Ledgers have now won three straight state titles and five in the last six years.
