Packers fans, the King is in the building! Kevin King, that is.
The Packers top draft pick, 6'3" cornerback Kevin King, was absent from OTAs because incoming rookies who played for colleges on the quarter system are unable to join the team until the school year ends.
However, he was in Green Bay Tuesday for the start of mandatory minicamp.
It's the first time King has been in Titletown since Rookie Camp, and he told reporters Tuesday he's excited be back and around the guys he will be playing with this coming year.
"It's great because I'm just starting to get that camaraderie, because that's what it's about on the field," King said. "You've got to know what the other guy is doing and vice versa, so just to get with the guys and finally saying what's up and kind of seeing what everyone is like."
The Packers coaching staff worked King into the fundamental drills Tuesday afternoon, and said they will increase his workload over the course of camp.
