MADISON (WGBA) -- Bay Port's dreams of a perfect season came crashing down Friday evening, as Muskego topped the Pirates 21-10 in the WIAA Division 1 state football championship to win its second straight title.

Despite out-gaining the Warriors 315-195, Bay Port managed only 10 points - largely because of turnovers (three) and big plays (two plays of 36 yards or more allowed).

Running back Isaiah Gash led the Pirates with 185 rushing yards on 32 carries. Quarterback Andrew Thomas struggled to find his rhythm after Bay Port fell behind in the second quarter; Thomas finished 11-24 with a touchdown and two interceptions.
