The victims of a fatal crash between an SUV and a farming combine in Jefferson County were identified Monday.
The Jefferson County Sheriff said in a news release that three people were killed in the crash.
Brian Schantz, 57 of Cottage Grove, Ildred Schantz, 90, from Honolulu, Hawaii, and Alan Schantz, 60 of Cottage Grove, were all killed when their Rav4 hit a John Deere farming combine in Lake Mills.
The driver of the combine was not injured. The sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash.
