Two injured in Outagamie County crash

BLACK CREEK, Wis. – - The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department confirms two people are hurt after a crash Thursday evening. 

According to deputies, the call came in around 9:30 p.m. for a crash near WIS 54 and State Rd. near Black Creek. 

A 21-year-old Black Creek man was driving north on State Road and failed to stop at a stop sign. 

When entering the intersection, his car was hit by a westbound truck driven by a 36-year-old man from Seymour. 

The 21-year-old was extricated from the car and taken to the hospital by ThedaStar helicopter. 

The driver of the truck was treated for injuries at the scene. 

WIS 54 was closed for about four hours. 

The investigation is still ongoing.
