Three people charged with drug trafficking, firearms offenses on Menominee Indian Reservation

Three people have been indicted in federal court for alleged drug trafficking and firearms offenses on the Menominee Indian Reservation.

Leroy Sanapaw, 42, and Kerry Nacotee, 42, of Keshena, and Sheila Madosh, 52, of Neopit, were all charged on June 6. 

Sanapaw faces a charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and he and Nacotee are both charged with Felon Possession of a Firearm.

According to the indictment, investigators found more than 250 grams of marijuana and five rifles in the couple's home in Keshena. Both are not allowed to own guns.

Sanapaw could face 20 years in prison and up to a $1 million fine on the marijuana charge, and both could face 10 years in prison for the weapons charge.

Madosh was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Offense.

Investigators found 298 grams of "Ish," a synthetic cannabinoid, along with a 9mm semiautomatic handgun at her home in Neopit.

She could face 20 years in prison and up to a $1 million fine if convicted of the drug charge, and up to life in prison on the weapons charge.
