A 77-year- old woman is dead after a crash in the Town of Metomen Saturday, according to the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office.
It happened at about 9:53 AM. Road conditions are thought to the be cause, deputies said.
The victim was the passenger of a 50-year-old Sheboygan woman who was driving on STH 44 near Searle Rd.
The woman crossed the middle line and hit a 52-year-old man headed east in a pickup truck, deputies said.
She was pinned in her vehicle and later died of her injuries. The driver was taken to the hospital.
The man was treated at the scene and was released. The name of the 77 year old woman is being withheld until next-of-kin is notified.
