Two men have died, and two others suffered non-life threatening injuries in a crash blamed on poor conditions, according to the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office.

It happened in the Town of Alto on STH 49 south of Whooley Road.

The vehicle of Daniel D. Emmer and Brian C. Emmer Jr. crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound vehicle head-on. Both men died at the scene, the Sheriff's Office said.

The driver of the northbound vehicle and her passenger, a 14 year old, suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital.

High speeds in poor driving conditions caused the vehicle to lose control, deputies said.

STH 49 was closed for several hours during the initial investigation.
