Menasha Police have provided an update on the apartment fire that led to the death of an 18-month-old.
Menasha Police say the adult in the apartment at the time of last week’s fire is the 18-month-old’s uncle. Police also say two other young children were also inside at the time of the fire.
Officers say those kids are both under 6 years old. Police now believe one of those young children started the fire by playing with a lighter.
The fire is still under investigation and it’s not yet clear whether the uncle will face any charges related to the fire and the child’s death.
