Police investigation confirms wife shot husband before turning gun on herself

Update: John Tyson was shot by his wife Bonnie Tyson at 9 30 a.m. on Wednesday according to a police investigation which also revealed that Bonnie died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 

Throughout their investigation police also discovered that Bonnie has for years suffered from mental illness.

Oshkosh Police say Bonnie A. Tyson, 66 of Oshkosh, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in a home on the 2300 block of Wisconsin Street Wednesday. They say an autopsy was done on her body Thursday and results are still pending.

Police say John L. Tyson, 66 of Oshkosh, was also shot in the head and is currently in the hospital with life threatening injuries.

There is also no danger to the public at this time, according to Oshkosh Police.

UPDATE: Police say the shooting is a domestic case and won't release information pertaining to the gender, relationship, and age of those involved.  Police have not yet confirmed if the person who died was shot.

Police are investigating after one person was found dead and another was hurt from an apparent gunshot wound.

Oshkosh Police say they were called to the 2300 block of Wisconsin Street Wednesday.

They say the other person shot was taken to a local hospital, but their condition is unknown at this time.

Police say they are not searching for any suspects at this time and believe this is an isolated incident.

There is no danger to the public and Oshkosh Police are still investigating.
