According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Packers have signed Brian Gutekunst to a five-year deal as their new general manager.

Gutekunst worked as a director of personnel in Green Bay under Ted Thompson for the last six seasons and has been a rising candidate for multiple jobs around the NFL.
He was promoted to his previous post, director of player personnel, on March 21, 2016. He started with the Packers as a scouting intern in 1997, and spent his first 13 seasons with the organization as a college scout.
