A powerful winter storm will continue to bring heavy snow and strong winds to the area today into tonight with significant snowfall accumulations expected for much of the viewing area through tomorrow. Blowing and drifting snow will contribute to low visibility and treacherous road conditions through the rest of today and tonight.
ACTIVE WARNINGS AND ADVISORIES:
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Outagamie, Winnebago, and Calumet Co. until Noon.
WINTER STORM WARNING for Waushara, Waupaca, Shawano, Langlade, Menominee, Marinette, and Oconto Co. until 6 AM.
STORM TIMELINE:
The winter storms is not over just yet. Another round of generally light snow, with some burst of heavier snow at times, will track into Northeast Wisconsin through the morning hours. An additional 1-3" of snow is possible on top of what fell yesterday. Winds will also be picking up this morning helping to reduce visibility from blowing snow. The snow should exit by early afternoon.
SNOW TOTALS:
After all is said and done....the Green Bay area and Fox Valley will pick up between about 6-10" of snow. Higher amounts to the north with lesser amounts to the south.
