We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service say crews are working nonstop to restore power to thousands of customers following intense storms Friday and Saturday.

Wisconsin Public Service says crews have restored power to more than 88,000 customers. About 75,000 customers are currently without power. In the Green Bay area, WPS says there are approximately 18,000 customers without power.

We Energies says 44,000 customers have their power restored. About 56,000 customers are currently without power.

More than 200 employees are currently on the ground, We Energies said Sunday, working to clear downed wires, trees and power poles. We Energies also said crews from other states are assisting in the cleanup process. The power company said crews have been working around the clock responding to fire and police calls for downed lines and trees.

"There are over 700 wires down, 50 power poles snapped and broken and over 600 trees or branches fallen into our equipment," We Energies said in a Sunday news release.

Once hazards are clear, We Energies said crews can begin to repair and restore power.

Customers are urged to report downed power lines and poles to 800-662-4797. If you see a downed power line, you are advised to stay at least 25 feet away from them and anything touching them.
