The 2021 Spring Election begins in Wisconsin Tuesday. Polls open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission said voters who are returning an absentee ballot to their polling place must do so by 8 p.m. April 6. However, they ask absentee voters to get their ballots in earlier so the clerk has enough time to send ballots to the proper location to be counted by the 8 p.m. deadline. On your ballot this year includes a couple of highly contested races, like the one for state superintendent. Deborah Kerr and Jill Underly are running for the nonpartisan position. Learn more about what they're pushing for here.

Another big race to watch is for the 89th Assembly District which covers parts of northeast Wisconsin. Republican Elijah Behnke will go against Democrat Karl Jaeger.

Other races on your ballot include local leadership for school board and various county roles.

Again, polls close at 8 p.m. Click here to find your voting place.
