GREEN LAKE (NBC 26) -- A 17-year-old boy is accused of ramming a police squad car during a chase in Green Lake.
The Tuesday afternoon incident started when Green Lake County Sheriff's dispatch got a report of a teen who walked away from his home. The Sheriff’s Office said the teen is known to law enforcement and is described as “cognitively impaired”.
As police headed to an area known to be frequented by the teen, the Green Lake County Highway Department, the Sheriff’s Office said the boy was spotted driving a pick-up belonging to the Highway Department. Green Lake Police attempted to stop him, when authorities say he hit a dump truck and then rammed the Green Lake Police squad car.
