Prokopovitz homicide trial delayed after judge breaks ankle

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The homicide trial for a Brown County man accused of killing his wife has been delayed after the judge in the case was injured in a fall.

Judge Timothy Hinkfuss slipped and fell last night returning from work. He broke his ankle and has surgery scheduled for Friday.

The jury in the case has been instructed not to pay attention to media reports about the trial, which is now scheduled to resume on Monday.

James Prokopovitz is accused of killing his wife, Victoria, who disappeared in 2013. Here body was never found. The homicide trial had begun earlier this week.
