Police announce arrest in Fond du Lac homicide investigation

FOND DU LAC (NBC 26) — One person is under arrest in connection to the homicide of a 40-year-old Fond du Lac man, police announced Tuesday.

On Monday, the Fond du Lac Police Department executed a search warrant at the 000 block on W. Cotton Street. Fond du Lac Police said officers made an arrest in regards to the homicide of Brandon A. Johnson, which happened over the weekend.

A 32-year-old Fond du Lac man was arrested and is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail. Police said the charges of First-Degree Intentional Homicide and Felon in Possession of a Firearm will be referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office.

According to Fond du Lac Police, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call Saturday morning, which reported a person laying on the ground on the 200 block of Marquette Street.

When officers arrived, they found a 40-year-old man from the Fond du Lac area dead from an apparent gunshot wound. He was later identified as Brandon Johnson.
