GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Visitors in Green Bay will be able to see some unexpected amphibians.

Two frog sculptures by a local artist were installed Thursday in the Old Main Street Arts District on the city’s east side.

"This is just a great way to get people to interact with the art. We want them to come up with names for the frogs, we want to create all sorts of stories with the frogs. It's just a great way to bring the art out of galleries and onto the streets for the community to enjoy,” said Kathryn Kroll, the Marketing Manager of Olde Main St. Inc.

The frog project was about a year in the making. Visitors can see them scaring the flies away by the Pomp's Tire building.
