GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — This week several local companies will participate in a cycling fundraiser to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin.

Miles for Matches, presented by Prevea, will feature about 14 local companies whose employees will be challenged to bike over 100 miles in one day. The purpose of the one-week spin challenge is to showcase companies' support for health, positive competition and youth mentoring in their communities.

The businesses participating in the fundraiser are: Badger Sheet Metal Work, Belmark Inc., Broken Spoke, Rodac, Breakthrough, Prevea, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin, Dental City, Associated Bank, H.J. Martin and Son, Brodhagen Dental, McDonald Companies, ISG, and Nicolet National Bank.

The event will take place from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Aug. 1-5 with different teams competing each day. Cyclists from each company’s team will race throughout their competition day at their own offices on stationary bikes provided by Broken Spoke Bike Studio of Green Bay.

Participating companies are encouraged to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout the week. Supporters can make a pledge to their favorite company or leader by making a donation at: https://www.classy.org/campaign/miles-for-matches2022/c396993.
