OUTAGAMIE COUNTY (NBC 26) — A man who was convicted of stabbing his pregnant girlfriend and killing her 3-year-old daughter was sentenced Friday in an Outagamie County courtroom.
Demetrius Williams, 24, received a life sentence with possibility of release after 40 years for first degree intentional homicide Friday after pleading no contest in January.
For attempted first degree intentional homicide with a domestic abuse modifier, he was sentenced to 40 years in prison and 20 years extended supervision, concurrent to his life sentence.
Williams killed Zyana Corbin, and stabbed her mother, Tiana, last February in Appleton.
Williams was also convicted of taking a hostage during an escape attempt from Outagamie County Jail and sentenced to five years in prison and five years extended supervision, to be served after his life sentence.
