Two men suspected in two different child homicide cases appeared in court Friday.

The case of Matthew Beyer, the man accused of killing his two children and recently attempting to break out of the Outagamie County Jail, is moving forward.

Beyer was back in court for further proceedings Friday, where an initial appearance was scheduled for July 30th. Court documents say Beyer’s van left his home in Manitowoc and arrived at the home of the children in Kaukauna the day they died.

According to a criminal complaint, Beyer also helped his cellmate Demetrius Williams, who is also accused of killing a child, escape from jail. Authorities say that situation was resolved, and no one was hurt.

Bond for Beyer was previously set at $2.5 million.

Demetrius Williams had a $500,000 cash bond set for the attempted escape. He's already being held on a $2 million cash bond for 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide of an Unborn Child.

Williams’ preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. June 19.
