Green Bay Police say pitbull bit child, animal control searching for dog

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Green Bay Police say Animal Control is searching for a pitbull that bit a 6-year-old.

Police say an Animal Control intern responded to reports of a dog bite at around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 BLK of Ellis St.

According to police, the child was playing outside when a white Pitbull dog bit the child in the ear. Police say the Pitbull was accompanied by a young girl who kept walking east bound on Ellis Street.

Animal Control is now looking to locate the Pitbull and its owner. Police say are strict quarantine requirements for animal bites.
