GREEN BAY — Former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike Holmgren has officially thrown his support to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

The Biden campaign says the Super Bowl-winning coach will hold a virtual press conference to publicly support Biden on Sept. 12. Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich will join him at the conference.

The conference kicks off at 12 p.m.

A campaign email says the event plans to criticize President Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on the Packers season and Green Bay-area businesses.

Both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence will hold campaign visits in Wisconsin next week.
