BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Brown County reported five new deaths related to coronavirus on Monday.
The county now has 2,088 confirmed cases, with 26 cases coming from the Oneida Nation.
30 people have been hospitalized due to the virus. 364 people are out of isolation as of Monday.
The new numbers come as testing for the virus continues. 562 people were tested at community sites over weekend, with a total of 9,152 tests conducted overall.
This update comes after Brown County rescinded its Safer at Home order last week. Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach said Monday the county made the decision to remove restrictions based on legal advice. With businesses now basically free to reopen, Streckenbach said the county will continue to stress the importance of following and reviewing safety guidelines.
Bellin Health Community and Business Health Director Randy Van Straten said Monday that Bellin Health is working with businesses to reopen safely. Straten says Bellin Health is helping employers and business handle plans in case someone tests positive and how to implement safe guidelines. They are also urging businesses to clean more than usual, especially on contacted surfaces like door handles and counters.
