BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- More than 2,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Brown County, according to new numbers released Friday.

Brown County has a total of 2,044 cases as of Friday, with the Oneida Nation reporting 23 cases.

Testing for the virus has expanded to include all residents, regardless of symptoms. More information about testing can be found here. A total of 1,258 people were tested Thursday at two testing sites in the county, the Resch Center and Casa ALBA.

The number of people out of isolation continues to rise, with a total number of 363 people reported Friday. "Out of isolation" means people who had the virus are no longer considered a threat of spreading it.

Brown County has seen a high number of cases compared to other counties in the state. According to numbers from Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the only other county with more cases than Brown is Milwaukee County.
