MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. — Manitowoc County Deputy Coroner Kendall Behnke is releasing new information on a fatal crash in Manitowoc County that took the life of a Green Bay man and sent a woman and a baby to the hospital.
On Wednesday night, authorities say a Ford Focus left Interstate 43 and rolled down a steep embankment near Devils River.
A passenger in the vehicle, Diontai Hamilton of Green Bay, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Deputy Coroner says Diontai was wearing a seat belt and suffered blunt force injuries of the neck.
The car did not enter the river.
Other passengers were transported to a Green Bay Hospital for care.
The State Patrol and the Manitowoc Co. Sheriff’s office are continuing to investigate the crash. A GoFundMe for the crash victims has raised more than $1,000 dollars.
