GREEN BAY, Wis. - Green Bay Police are launching a Run with the Cops program. Every Thursday until June 28th, officers will meet at the City Deck at noon to run or walk for 30 minutes. Anyone is welcome.
Police Chief Andrew Smith said it's all in an effort to promote healthy habits
"You know after a long, cold winter, I think we all could use a little bit of exercise. It's a beautiful day here in Green Bay and a beautiful place to run. Employees in good shape, physically fit, healthier, they use less sick time and they're happier at work. It improves employee morale. There's a lot of reasons why we do it."
The run/walk will go down the Fox River Trail. It will begin on Cherry Street.
