MADISON (NBC 26) -- The latest daily coronavirus case numbers in Wisconsin were just 13 cases shy of the state's record, which was set the day prior.
Wisconsin reported 5,922 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the state's total to 249,924.
The state also reported 38 new deaths related to COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the state's death toll to 2,194. The number of people ever hospitalized rose to 12,310 Thursday, an increase of 223.
