Wisconsin is reporting a new record of daily COVID-19 cases, with 5,935 new cases as of Wednesday.
The news comes as Wisconsin continues to break records daily for the number of cases and deaths.

The new record of 5,935 surpasses Tuesday's record of 5,771 and brings the 7-day average to 4,839.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Secretary Designee Andrea Palm, that number was 2,400 a month ago, and 767 two months ago.
Additionally, deaths are up by 54. That brings the total number of losses to 2,156.
Palm stated that hospitals across Wisconsin are feeling the strain when it comes to staffing and hospital beds.
State health officials said Wisconsin is in a state of crisis with COVID cases. According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services' website, 93% of hospital beds in southeast Wisconsin are unavailable. Palm said, it's up to Wisconsinites to mitigate the spread.
"We have the ability to do this, turn the corner, to stop spread but it will require us all to stay home as much as possible and reduce social contact to people we live with," said Palm.
This comes after Wisconsin opened an Emergency Care Facility at State Fair Park. As of Wednesday afternoon, seven patients were being treated at the Alternate Care Facility.
