Wisconsin reports 3,626 new COVID-19 cases, 8 deaths

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — Sunday, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 25.9% of COVID-19 tests returned positive.

Health officials said 3,626 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, which is more than 400 less cases than Saturday.

The DHS said 40,538 cases are still active across the state. An estimated 78.6% of people who had tested positive for the virus have since recovered.

A total of 1,778 deaths in Wisconsin have been linked to the virus, which is eight more since Saturday.

Hospitalizations increased by 95 cases, bringing the state total to 10,332 people with coronavirus who have been hospitalized.
