Wisconsin reports 4,062 new COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — State health officials reported 4,062 new cases of COVID-19 and 25 deaths related to the virus Saturday afternoon.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 11.7% of over 17,600 coronavirus tests returned positive.

The DHS said 78.6% of the 194,540 people in Wisconsin who tested positive for the virus have since recovered. An estimated 39,806 case are still active across the state.

Health officials said 25 more deaths have been linked to the virus. A total of 1,770 people have died in relation to the virus.

Hospitalizations increased by nearly 200 cases, bringing the state total to 10,273 people with coronavirus who have been hospitalized.
