The day after an all-time single day record of COVID-19 case numbers, Wisconsin health officials reported 3,493 positive cases.
Sunday, the percentage of people who have since recovered from the virus rose to a little above 78%. Active cases in the state also dropped by over 600 people to 47,551.
According to the Department of Health Services (DHS), the 7-day average percent of virus tests positive by person is at 29.5% as of Saturday's numbers. This calculation only accounts for each person once across the entirety of the pandemic, no matter how many times they have been tested.
The DHS reported 16 deaths related to coronavirus, bringing the state total to 2,047 people in Wisconsin to have died from the virus.
Hospitalizations increased by 123 for a total of just under 11,500 people ever hospitalized by the virus.
