WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — Health officials reported over 100,000 people in Wisconsin have gotten both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as of 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
The state Department of Health Services (DHS) said 1,007 out of 5,220 COVID-19 tests returned positive Sunday afternoon.
An estimated 19,161 cases are still considered active across Wisconsin. This is a decrease of over 3,700 cases since last Sunday and a decrease of 420 cases since yesterday.
According to the DHS, the seven-day average for positive cases by person is 19.6% as of Saturday's numbers, which is 0.1% more than Friday. This percentage only includes each person once across the duration of the pandemic, no matter how many times an individual gets tested.
Another three deaths were recorded for a total of 5,896 people in Wisconsin to have died in relation to COVID-19.
Hospitalizations increased by 55, bringing the state total to 24,298 people to ever be hospitalized with the virus.
