Today the family of Bart Starr issued an update on his health. In a written statement released by the Packers, the family says Bart fell in the bathroom and broke his hip three days before Christmas.
It was only a minor break and no surgery was needed. He will now be in a wheelchair for six weeks but is doing great and is in good spirits.
The family goes on to say Bart's visit to Green Bay for Brett Favre's ceremony was a truly "magical moment."
"The welcome he received will always be one of our most treasured memories. We give many thanks to all of our loyal friends and fans for your outpouring of love and support. You will always have a special place in our hearts."
