ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) — UPDATE (6:05 P.M.) Jigwemko Layton, 18, has been booked into the Brown County jail for first-degree intentional homicide.

An 18-year-old man was taken into custody Friday afternoon after police say they found a crashed car with a body inside.
The incident began with a one-vehicle crash around 12:30 near the area of I-41 and State Highway 172. When deputies arrived, they said witnesses reported a man running from the vehicle with a gun.
The deputies located the man in a nearby ditch and arrested him without incident.
Investigators say that when they searched the vehicle, they found a deceased man. Deputies did not say how the individual died.
The age and identity of the victim was not released. Police would not identify the man who was arrested.
