Appleton Police said they're investigating a shooting on the city's southeast side.
East Canary Street and South Sunshine Drive have been blocked off.
Officers were called in around 2 a.m. Thursday for reports of shots fired.
When they arrived on scene they found a man in the driveway of the home who told them they would find a woman inside with gunshot wounds.
Police said a woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital.
There is no word on her condition at this time.
Police tape is up surrounding the area.
Police said the suspect is in custody.
They believe this was a domestic situation.
They don't believe there is any immediate threat to the community.
The investigation is ongoing.
