A 20-year-old woman accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed her passenger pleaded not guilty Monday in Brown County Court.

Savannah Rae Dumas, 20, was charged with Homicide by Intoxicated use of Vehicle and Causing Injury/Operating While Under the Influence (1st offense).

The judge also modified her bond Monday, allowing her to attend Life Church on Sunday, AA meetings, counseling and work. However, her request to attend a wedding in June was denied.

Dumas crashed her car on County Highway J in Suamico at about 11:30 p.m. on April 19, according to investigators.

Two other women were in the car with Dumas, including Megan Frehse, 21, of Green Bay. Frehse was ejected from the car and died at the scene, investigators said.

Frehse was not wearing her seatbelt, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office.

The criminal complaint said Dumas had a blood alcohol level of 0.123. The legals limit is under .08.

Dumas will be back in court July 17 for a status conference.
