Two River, WI -- Crews responded to an overnight fire at Hog Wild Bar in Two Rivers.

Crews got the call around midnight to a bar on the 2500 block of Woodland Drive.

Fire officials activated Mavis which is common for a fire of this size.

The fire chief said they were able to get the fire out and under control around 3 a.m., but there were some difficulties when the roof started to collapse.

"We had ceilings starting to fall down on the inside and at that point I couldn't risk putting anybody inside so we had to basically exterior fire fight," explained Town of Two Rivers fire chief, Richard Franz.

The bar was closed when the fire broke out. There are no reported injuries.

The building is a total loss. Fire crews say part of the reason the building went up in flames so quickly was because of how old it was.

"You don't have fire breaks in between their was add-ons on to the building and stuff so basically it becomes a balloon construction so there's nothing and no barriers in between to stop fire from preceding those walls or anything," said Chief Franz.

Crews will remain on scene for through the morning to put out hotspots. Crews are investigating the cause of the fire.
