UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Jacob Case.

Around 11:45 PM Friday night, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a traffic accident near 7400 County Highway E in the Town of Rushford.
The crash involved a car and a pedestrian. Deputies on the scene say they found a 21-year-old man from Omro unresponsive lying in the road. It appeared he had suffered fatal injuries from a traffic crash.
First responders attempted life saving measures but the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.
His name is being withheld until his family can be notified.
