An armed robbery suspect is on the loose in Green Bay, police said Wednesday.

The Citgo gas station on the 1200 block of Velp Avenue reported the robbery just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A man wearing all black clothing and a Halloween mask was armed with a handgun when he held up the store, police said.

The worker cooperated and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, officers said. The suspect then took off into a nearby neighborhood.

Those in the neighborhood say it's disappointing.

"We've been here for 40 some years, and we haven't had any issues in the neighborhood but we tend to keep an eye on things and have things locked up and lit up," said Dawn Dwier. "It's unfortunate you can't be as trusting as it used to be."

Police are reviewing surveillance video to find the suspect.

There has been criminal activity in the past at this gas station, officers said. It was robbed last December.
