The special prosecutor in Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt's criminal case is asking the judge to issue fines and community service during a sentencing hearing next week.

A sentencing memorandum shows the state is asking for $400,000 in fines and 40 hours of community service.

The case stems from an investigation into Mayor Schmitt allegedly illegally accepting campaign funds.
