More than 20 different police K9 officers and their dogs trained at Fox Valley Technical College Saturday.

This is the first mass training for K9 handlers at the tech school, but it proved to be a success.  At least 13 different police agencies took advantage of the training session that offered a unique experience for both the officer and their dog.

"The college here has such and amazing set up and layout that we were able to run ten different scenarios in an 8 hour period which is a lot for canines training and 10 different completely different environments so that the dogs got to experience something new at each station," said Winnebago County Sheriff's K9 handler,  Robert Zill.

Most of the dogs at today's training session are dual use dogs meaning the catch criminals and sniff out drugs however there were a few bomb dogs there as well.
