Manitowoc Police are looking for the suspect involved in a shooting Friday night.

Officers were called to the 700 block of S. 15th Street around 10:45 p.m.

Police say that a 44-year-old Manitowoc man suffered life threatening injuries consistent with being shot and was taken to a trauma center for his injuries.

Police are actively looking for the suspect at this time. They believe this is an isolated incident.

He is described as a black male with dreadlocks, wearing a white or light colored shirt.

He was last seen running south in the 700 block of S.15th Street towards Clark Street.

Dennis Drill lives in the neighborhood.

"A little scary to the folks that live in the neighborhood," he shared. "It's things that you have to think about, that we have to lock our vehicles now instead of leaving them open like we used to."

Police say that further details are expected to be released Monday, May 22.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact the Manitowoc Police Department Shift Commander at (920) 686-6551.
