Manitowoc police made multiple drug arrests in 14 hours.

The first arrest happened just before noon on Wednesday. A concerned neighbor on S. 10th and Green Streets called police after allegedly seeing a man inject a needle into his arm.

When officers arrived, two men ran from the scene.

They eventually captured both and took a 28-year-old Whitelaw man into custody.

They say he had 11 grams of heroin and 0.3 grams of crystal meth, along with a scale and other drug paraphernalia in his possession.

The suspect had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from a different incident.

He has yet to be formally charged, but when he is, he faces charge enhancements because the incident happened within 1,000 feet of Lincoln High School and Red Arrow Park.

The second arrest occurred at 9:30pm Wednesday on the city's south side.

An officer pulled over a 25-year-old Manitowoc woman for having a defective brake light on her car.

Three male passengers were also inside. Police say they searched the vehicle after smelling pot and foun65.8 grams of marijuana in 22 baggies.

The driver was arrested on drug charges. A male passenger, who had an outstanding warrant, was also taken into custody.

The last round of arrests also happened during a traffic stop involving defective lights.

Police pulled over a 21-year-old Maribel man and his 46-year-old passenger from Manitowoc at 2:15 Thursday morning.

Investigators say, while speaking with officers, a small baggie with a white crystal substance fell out of the passenger's pocket.

A search of the car turned up 15.2 grams of methamphetamine and 0.3 grams of marijuana. Both men were taken into custody and faces numerous drug charges.
